The Lyon Farm features 15 historic buildings that trace the history of Kendall County including an 1918 Chicago Burlington & Quincy caboose, a fully stocked general store, an 1840s schoolhouse, a town hall, and a working blacksmith shop. A trip to the Lyon Farm is a delightful experience! The Lyon Farm is located east of Yorkville, Illinois on Illinois Route 71. Highway signs direct visitors to the site. The Kendall County Historical Society holds special events at the Lyon Farm, drawing visitors from a wide area each year. Visits to the farm and village can be scheduled by appointment only.
